SOLD - Prodigal Rage

An aggressive use of color and mark making to convey the teenage angst one felt in the late 90s. Music playing was Prodigy's "fire starter". The lotus is the promise of the zen to come behind the release of rage. The late 90s brought in the death of real boredom and anxious energy we had to release physically, creatively, sometimes destructively. This piece reminds me of my teenage friends, skateboards, challenging cultural norms and the struggle between the teenage need for freedom and youthful resentment.
